St. Lucia - Anse Chastenet and Jade Mountain 2019 |
View from Jade Restaurant |
Anse Chastenet is in the southwestern side of St. Lucia, looking directly out to the Caribbean Sea. To the immediate left of the resort are two pitons. Pitons are two mountainous volcanic plugs, volcanic spires, Gros Piton is 771 m high, and Petit Piton is 743 m high. The Gros can be hiked to the summit and come back down to the sea-level within a few hours. These pitons are photographed in most St. Lucia pictures. |

Anse Chastenet is a hillside resort with individual cabins with views. At the top of the resort are rooms with the entire fourth wall missing. They have great views of the sea and pitons. Here is some of the casual local décor and hillside cabin. All the furniture is made on the island. |

Jade Mountain, a five star resort above Anse owned by the same family. All the rooms having no fourth wall. Some have a plunge pool, others a Jacuzzi. This couple were upgraded from Anse to Jade on their 40th anniversary. They were greeted in style. |
